Notifications & Alerts are a feature in The Lens that will send you an email/notification when there are new results that match your saved queries or collections. You can view all new works that match the saved query and have been added to the search index since the last time the alerts were run. Users need to enable notifications while saving the query to receive alerts.
Locations
Work Area Notification Tab
Registered users have access to the notification tab in the work area that shows the number of notifications received associated with the saved queries or collections. From here you can view a new search result where Lens Id filter is applied to display new additions linked to the saved queries.
Work Area Sidebar
You can see the “Notification” menu on the work area sidebar. You can view all of the notifications by clicking on the menu. From here you can view a new search result where Lens Id filter is applied to display new additions linked to the saved queries.
Menu Bar
Lens Notifications can be accessed easily from the main navigation menu under Work Area. Clicking on the “Notification” menu will led you to the Notification work area tab.
How to Use
Enable/Disable Notification
The notification can be enabled while saving the query by simply clicking on the checkbox in the “Notification” section. Alternatively, it can be enabled/disabled from the work area saved queries tab. In the work are you can find the column “info” with all related information about the saved query including notifications. You can simply click on the bell icon to enable or disable notification. Lens UI Notification
You can see the notification at the top of the work area sidebar pane whenever a new item is added matching your search index. Clicking on the notification will show a new search result where Lens ID filter is applied to display new additions matching to the saved queries linked to the collection. From here you can review new items and choose to add or remove the document to the collections.
Reviewing New Items
You will get notification for all the saved queries with the notification alert enabled when there are new results that match the saved queries or collections. You can view all new works that match the saved query and have been added to the search index since the last time the alerts were run. View Options
In the work area notification tab, you can find the “View Options” pane on the right. From here you can sort your notification by Collection, Saved Queries, Marked as Read and Marked as Unread. You can also order your notification by title, type or created date.
